The OPA Board of Directors met on August 18, 2010 to for their organization meeting and election of officers. Following an oath of office for newly elected directors Dave Stevens, Tom Terry, and Ray Unger by OPA attorney Joe Moore, the board moved into election of officers for the coming year. Tom Terry and John McLaughlin received nominations for the office of president. When the votes were tallied Mr. Terry was elected as president of the OPA Board of Directors. Mr. McLaughlin was again nominated, this time for the office of vice president and elected by acclamation. Board appointments also by acclamation included Pete Gomsak to continue as Treasurer, Les Purcell to continue as Secretary. Board appointments, all by acclamation included General Manager, as assistant treasurer, Phyllis East as assistant/recording secretary and time keeper, Mr. Moore to continue as OPA attorney and Mr. Stevens to serve as parliamentarian as well as the appointment of the firm TGM Group, LLC to continue as auditors for OPA. As to a Board Meeting Schedule for the coming year it was determined the Board would meet on Thursday, September 9, 2010 @ 9:00AM in the Board Room for a planning session to set up the year’s Board meeting schedule. The next regular scheduled Board meeting will take place Wednesday, September 22, 2010 at 9:00AM in the Board Room.
