At 9:30am on Saturday, September 1, 2012 a horn will sound the start of the Dirt Road Dash 5K race in Ocean Pines.  Racers will run on the street and on dirt paths through-out the White Horse Park before finishing at the Ocean Pines Community Center.  OCtriRunning will supply computer chip timing technology for all racers to assure the most accurate results.  The cost to race is $30 per runner which includes a t-shirt and hospitality refreshments to early registrants. 

Race medals will be awarded to the overall top male and female performers during the festival.  Awards will also be given to top male & female finishers in each age group: Younger than 10, 11 – 19 years, 20 – 29 years, 30 – 39 years, 40 – 49 years, 50 – 59 years, 60 – 69 years, and older than 70 years. 

The race is open to all ages and interested runners can register by visiting/calling the Ocean Pines Recreation and Parks Department at 410-641-7052.  Early registration is required to guarantee a shirt.
