This event had been nearly a year in its' planning and development from initial concept to actual event. In short, it was the party of our dreams. Our recollections of the event are nothing but positive and we have absolutely no complaints or regrets. The on-call water dept. employee called back in a very short time(sorry I didn't get his name). He got here in a timely manner and fixed our problem in a short amount of time. He also was to note that the leaking water which was still going through our meter was not our fault and our bill shouldn't reflect this. "It all started on Monday when my wife and I noticed water coming up from the ground, in the subject ditches. I called Worcester County Water and Wastewater Management and reported the problem. On Tuesday, Worcester Country repaired the under ground broken pipe, but in doing so, the already existing drainage problem got worse. On Wednesday, I called the Ocean Pines Public Works Department to suggest someone come and look at the situation. Ruth Ann very courteously transferred me to Eddie Well who assured me he would be over first thing on Thursday morning. After looking at the problem, Mr. Wells said he would have a crew on Friday morning and make the necessary corrections."

"Sharyn O'Hare and I were at the Veterans Memorial this morning to put up a seasonal wreath and to commemorate Pearl Harbor Day. We were surprised and delighted to see that some fill work had been done on the parking area near the Memorial. There had been a pool of water there every time it rained making it difficult for people to get out of their cars, particularly the handicapped.
Once, again Kerry Nelson and crew were on the job. They, together with Eddie Wells, have given us so much support in the maintenance of the Memorial, and we want you to know how much we appreciate all that they do.
