The Pine’eer Artisan and Gift Shop is an extension of the Pine’eer Craft Club, a local club started in 1974. Members create handmade gift items, home décor, jewelry and so much more and then sell it in this retail store. Profits from these sales are donated back to the Ocean Pines community in the form of donations to the Police and Fire Departments, Parks and Recreation Department, Free Summer Concerts In the Park, Veteran’s Memorial and more. The Artisan and Gift Shop is open weekends year-round, Saturday from 9am – 3pm and Sunday 10am – 3pm. It is also open Wednesday mornings from June through August from 8am – 1pm. In December we are also open Friday evenings 4:30 – 7:30pm until Christmas. We also open for special events such as the Tree Lighting event the Saturday evening after Thanksgiving in November.
Visit the shop to view beautiful, handmade items. Come often, as the merchandise is always changing. As merchandise sells, our crafters are always making new items. And as new crafters join the club, new categories of items expand our inventory.
The shop has a large selection of gift- giving items such as jewelry sets, earrings and bracelets. We have beautiful handbags and totes that could be a gift for yourself! Our baby section has crocheted blankets, hats, sweaters, plaques, baby bibs and more. There are many home décor items, many of them with a beach theme including wreaths, wood plaques, floral arrangements, towels, coasters, runners and more. We even have floral arrangements where the flowers are totally made from seashells and fish scales! Members create handmade pottery items and stained glass items. Beautiful paintings, fabric- backed plates, mosaic mirrors, pictures made from jewelry and pillows of all designs are also available. And we have a complete line of doll-wear for American Girl dolls.
The Pine’eer Craft Club meets monthly on the third Thursday of the month at the Ocean Pines Community Center, 239 Ocean Parkway in Ocean Pines. All meetings are open to the public. Join us for refreshments at 9:45am. A business meeting starts promptly at 10. After the meeting the club offers a craft project for those who wish to participate. Pre-registration is required so the club can have enough supplies. A small fee is charged to cover the cost of supplies. Current information regarding the next meeting and craft project are on display in our shop window. In recent months the group has made favors for Meals on Wheels recipients, an Easter Bunny Hat Wreath and Cheese Ball Carrots. Future projects are a marble look vase, a coastal candleholder, pendant Jewelry, a closed terrarium, a stamped sweatshirt, a ghostly painted gourd and a mason jar snowman. To pre-register and for more information call Program Chair Cathie Rodefer at 443-783-2937.
