Ocean Pines unveils new Robinhood Park playground; ribbon cutting May 10

(May 6, 2021) The Recreation and Parks Committee will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new Robinhood Park playground on Monday, May 10 at 6 p.m. 

The park is on Robin Hood Trail, near Sweet Gum Lane, in south Ocean Pines.  

The old playground was demolished in March. River Valley Playground Company recently installed the all-new equipment.  

Recreation and Parks Director Debbie Donahue said Robinhood was one of the last playgrounds in the community scheduled for replacement. Next up are Bainbridge and Bridgewater parks. 

“We are so excited to bring this beautiful, new playground to the area, so the children have a new safe place to play close to home,” she said. “We also did some repairs to the basketball court to upgrade that area as well, and we are happy to say that Robinhood Park is open for the season. I hope everyone gets great enjoyment out of the park.” 

The Ocean Pine Chamber of Commerce will aid in the ribbon cutting, and the press and public are invited.
