Candidates for the Ocean Pines Association Board of Directors are scheduled to take part in a public forum, Wednesday, June 12, at 7 p.m. in the Assateague Room of the Ocean Pines Community Center on 235 Ocean Parkway.
For those who cannot attend the forum in person, the event will be broadcast locally on channel 78 and streaming live on the association YouTube channel, available at http://www.youtube.com/channel/UCal8lHG_cLEW2zr09RTpo_Q.
Questions for the forum were developed by the Ocean Pines Elections Committee. Additional questions may be submitted via email to email@example.com, or submitted in writing during the forum.
Forum seating was determined at random during a candidate draw held last Friday. Results of the candidate draw also determine the order candidates will appear on ballots.
Results were as follows: 1. Tom Janasek 2. Larry Perrone 3. Camilla Rogers 4. Paula Gray 5. Shawn Kotwica 6. Edward Solum 7. Gregory Turner
This year, the top-three vote getters will each be elected to three-year terms on the Ocean Pines Board.
Ballots will be mailed to all association members in good standing during the week of July 8. They may be returned either to the ballot box inside the police department office in the Ocean Pines Administration Building on 239 Ocean Parkway, or mailed to the Ocean Pines post office box in Berlin.
The cutoff for voter eligibility is July 3.

• Second Candidate’s Forum: June 22, 10 a.m. in the Assateague Room of the Ocean Pines Community Center on 235 Ocean Parkway
• Ballots counted and announced: Aug. 9 at 10 a.m. in the East Room of the Ocean Pines Community Center on 235 Ocean Parkway
• Election results validated: Aug. 10 at 10 a.m. during the Annual Meeting of Membership in the Assateague Room of the Ocean Pines Community Center on 235 Ocean Parkway
