Election Results to be Announced at Annual Meeting

The countdown to the announcement of the Ocean Pines election results is on. Voters in Ocean Pines are casting their votes, now through Aug. 10. Official results will not be announced until Saturday, Aug. 12, after the Elections Committee verifies ballots.

The Committee will meet Friday, Aug. 11 at 9 a.m. at the Marlin Room in the Ocean Pines Community Center to count the ballots for the 2017 Board of Directors Election, at which two vacancies are up for election.

Ballots may be dropped off in the ballot box located inside the Ocean Pines Police Station at the Ocean Pines Association (OPA) Administration Building no later than 5 p.m. on Aug. 10.

Four eligible candidates are vying for two open positions on the Board of Directors. You can vote for no more than two of the following candidates:

• Colette Horn
• Nicole Schafer Crosariol
• Douglas Parks
• Martin Clarke

The Elections Committee will monitor the Elections telephone 410-208-3989 for questions and/or requests for replacement ballots.

In accordance with the OPA By-laws, no member may vote if the member has failed to pay the annual charge, including any assessed interest levied by the Association.

Election results will be announced at the Annual Meeting that is to be held on Saturday, Aug. 12 at 10 a.m. in the Ocean Pines Community Center, located at 235 Ocean Parkway. All property owners are urged to attend the Annual Meeting. Arrive early and be ready to provide a photo ID such as your driver’s license.
