The Be a Santa to a Senior program, sponsored by Home Instead Senior Care, has delivered more than 3 million gifts at Christmas nationwide to seniors who are in need. Locally, Home Instead Senior Care collaborates with MAC Area on Aging, Shore Up’s Shady Pines Adult Medical Day Services, Worcester County Health Department, Worcester County Social Services and the Commission on Aging to identify seniors who are in need or wouldn’t be receiving a gift for Christmas this year.
Anonymously, the Christmas gift wishes of seniors are displayed on Christmas tree ornament tags at the Community Center. After purchasing the requested gift and wrapping it, you will bring the gift back to the Ocean Pines Community Center along with the ornament tag. Gifts will be delivered December 9-11. Please join us in supporting our local seniors during this amazing time of year. If you have any questions about this program, please call the Home Instead Senior Care office at 410-641-0901 or the Ocean Pines Recreation and Parks Department at 410-641-7052.
