Holiday Craft Activities Held this Week in Ocean Pines

The Ocean Pines Recreation and Parks Department will be offering three family-friendly craft activities – just in time for the holidays –on Sunday, Dec. 8 at the Ocean Pines Community Center.

Starting the lineup is the return of the perennially popular tie-dye workshop from 10 a.m.-noon. All ages will learn how to create psychedelic designs using basic techniques and holiday colors.

The cost is $10 per person, and participants should bring a pre-washed white t-shirt.

Boys and girls ages 4-10 will hone their tree-trimming skills as they create Christmas ornaments and listen to a holiday story with Miss Katie the “Craft Lady” from 1-2 p.m. All materials for this fun craft will be provided.

The cost is $8 for Ocean Pines residents and $10 for non-residents. Please note that participating children must be accompanied by an adult.

Little hands will develop fine motor skills and create a stylish holiday accessory at a Christmas clay bead bracelet workshop from 2-3 p.m. Designed for boys and girls ages 3-6, this class will show participants how to string an assortment of pre-made beads into a unique creation.

The cost is $10 for Ocean Pines residents and $15 for non-residents. An accompanying adult should stay to assist each child.

Preregistration for these activities, which are open to the public, is highly recommended, but a limited number of drop-ins will be available if space allows. To register, call 410-641-7052.
