OPA Employees Donated Food to Area Families for Holidays

Staff members of the Ocean Pines Association [OPA] are lending a holiday helping hand. They have partnered with Worcester County G.O.L.D., a non-profit organization that helps area residents for whom traditional means of financial support is not fully available, to provide “food baskets” for 15 families in need.

“This means so much for the employees to continue this tradition,” said Denise Sawyer, marketing and public relations director of the Ocean Pines Association. “Families in the Ocean Pines/Berlin community should not; and will not go without a meal this holiday season if the OPA can help it.”

The Ocean Pines Association has helped dozens of people in the community for years, and the support continues. All of the donations, which were gathered by each department, go directly to individuals in need. Now families, who may have gone without a holiday meal, can enjoy a turkey feast.

Ocean Pines is a premier residential community nestled on Maryland’s Eastern Shore in Northern Worcester County. With over nine miles of waterfront property on 3,000 acres of wooded areas, with amenities throughout the community including a beachfront property located 5 miles in Ocean City and on the Atlantic Ocean.
