OPA pool used by state as a model facility

State and local officials recently used Ocean Pines’ indoor Sports Core Pool as an example of a well-run facility.

A dozen representatives from the State of Maryland, along with one agent from the Worcester County Health Department, visited the pool on Friday during a training exercise.

“I am beyond proud of our Aquatics team and especially Aquatics Manager Kathleen Cook, who takes great pride in giving our guests the best water quality and a clean facility,” Operations Director Colby Phillips said. “In the six years I have been here, the level of care the team gives to all of our pools should be commended. We have many people who utilize our pools and it has always been a priority to offer a safe and nice place to visit.”
