Area residents are invited to witness the spectacular floral displays of the Philadelphia Flower Show with the Ocean Pines Recreation and Parks Department, which will host a bus trip to the largest horticultural event in the country on Sunday, March 1.
Presented by the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society, this year’s show, “Riviera Holiday,” is inspired by exotic Mediterranean gardens and will feature displays by the world’s premier floral and landscape designers.
Visitors will experience groves of citrus trees, sweeps of lavender, flowering arches and a variety of scented geraniums, roses and herbs reminiscent of life on the Riviera.
A luxury coach bus will depart the Ocean Pines Community Center, located at 235 Ocean Parkway, at 7:30 a.m. Trip participants will be able to explore the flower show and the surrounding area (including Reading Terminal Market) from 10 a.m.-3:30 p.m. The bus will return to Ocean Pines at approximately 6 p.m.
The cost is $67 per person, which includes transportation and show ticket. Reservations are required; refunds will not be issued for cancellations unless vacant seats can be filled.
