Toddler Time

Children ages 18 months-3 years can socialize through indoor playtime, crafts, music and movement. Fall sessions begin Sept. 12 and Oct. 24.

Haunted Walking Trail Displays

Ocean Pines is seeking community groups to set up haunted displays throughout Ocean Pines’ haunted walking trail, open in October. Only 13 spots are available!

Zumba

Fast and slow Latin rhythms tone and sculpt the body utilizing principles from aerobics and fitness activities. Suitable for all ages and fitness levels! Classes begin September 16.

Fall T-Ball

Boys and girls ages 4-6 are invited to sign up for our fun fall-t-ball program beginning Saturday, September 14 at 10 am.

Youth Yoga

Kids ages 4-9 are welcome to join this yoga program created just for them. Drop-ins are welcome! Sessions begin June 1, August 3 and September 14.

This fun and exciting soccer program for kids will be offered beginning September 10 for two-year-olds and September 12 for three-year-olds at Somerset Park.

Pee Wee Soccer

This recreational soccer program for boys and girls ages 4-5 begins September 10 and September 12 for ages 6-7 at Somerset Park in Ocean Pines.

2020 “Pup of the Pines” Photo Contest

Enter your furry friend in this annual contest to win a 2020 Ocean Pines Dog Park registration and the title of “Pup of the Pines.” Applications will be accepted through October 18, 2019.

“Pup of the Pines” Photo Contest @ Ocean Pines Community Center

Enter for a chance to see your pup in pictures and raise money for improvements and upgrades to the Ocean Pines Dog Park!  The winner of the contest will receive the title “Pup of the Pines” and a free 2020 Ocean Pines Dog Park registration.  The pup will also be the face of the Ocean Pines Dog Park in the Ocean Pines Activity Guide and other postings.  Contest ends on October 20, 2019.  Voting will take place at the Halloween celebration on October 26 and the winner will be announced at A Hometown Christmas on November 30!  Click here for a Pup of the Pines Photo Contest registration form, or visit the Ocean Pines Recreation and Parks Department.

Happy Cleats Soccer – Age 2 @ Somerset Park

A fun and exciting soccer program that allows preschoolers to burn off some energy and learn soccer basics in a non-competitive environment. Socialization, simple soccer fundamentals and lots of fun are the main focus.

Happy Feet Fall 2013

Pee Wee Soccer – Ages 4-5 @ Somerset Park
Sep 17 @ 5:45 pm – 6:30 pm

For ages 4-5. This program is designed to teach boys and girls the basics of soccer while showing them social benefits such as mixing with others, having to work as a team, working individually toward a collective goal, experiencing emotions involved in the game, striving to be the best and supporting and helping others. The sessions will start out with basic skills and lightly competitive group games.

Toddler Time @ Ocean Pines Community Center

For ages 18 months – 3 years. Offers parent and child the opportunity to socialize with others through indoor playtime, music and movement. This is a time to explore, discover, create and play together while sharing the joys and challenges of raising happy children with other parents. Your child will have the opportunity to play with balls, hula-hoops, tunnels and a giant parachute, games and slides. A parent/guardian is required to stay with each child.

Tai Chi for Arthritis I @ Ocean Pines Community Center

This program is geared for people with arthritis or other joint issues to provide greater flexibility and strength in the joints and to increase balance to reduce falls. Tai Chi, also called “Moving Meditation,” can also help to reduce stress, boost immune function by 50 percent, reduce depression and anxiety, improve sleep and reduce or eliminate chronic pain issues.
The practices are upright and slow continuous movements. Anyone can practice Tai Chi because all movements can be adjusted to the individual.

Net Generation Fall Tennis Academy @ Manklin Meadows Racquet Sports Complex

Net Generation is a celebration of a game where no one sits on the sidelines. Tennis is easy to learn and tailored for all ages and abilities, giving kids a game that will help them build friendships and learn skills they’ll use for life. Designed to teach children ages 5-10 the FUNdamentals of tennis while remembering that having a good time is the most important part of the game. Basic stroke techniques will be covered in the lessons. Repetition of strokes and playing patterns is necessary to make them subconscious and automatic.
