Philadelphia Flower Show Bus Trip

Join Ocean Pines for a bus trip to the Philadelphia Flower Show on Sunday, March 1. This year’s theme is “Riviera Holiday.” Bus leaves at 7:30 a.m. $67 per person.

Clay Bead Making for Adults

Bring your creativity and learn how to shape and form clay to make beads and your own bracelet on Tuesday, Feb. 18 from 7-9:30 p.m.

Free Seminars – “Teen Financial Workshops”

Teens are invited to learn about topics such as budgeting, buying a car and paying for college in this free three-seminar series held Jan. 16, 23 and 30 from 6-8 p.m. at the Ocean Pines Community Center.

Clay Bead Crafts

Kids can string pre-made clay beads or learn how to create beads at these fun, one-day workshops on Sunday, Feb. 9. For ages 3-6 or ages 6-13.

Free Seminar Series – “Personal Investments”

Join Tylor Lennox, an investment advisor with Coastal Wealth Management, LLC, for a series of educational seminars based on investment and retirement planning topics. A light lunch will be provided. Seminars will be held on Sundays, Jan. 5-Feb. 9 from 1-2 p.m. at the Ocean Pines Community Center.

Free Seminar – “Safeguarding Your Identity”

Learn what to do before and after a breach of your identity at this free seminar offered Dec. 12, Feb. 5 and April 1 from 5-6:30 p.m. at the Ocean Pines Community Center.

Creative Doodling

Both fun and relaxing, creative doodling is great for brain exercise. A new session begins Wednesday, February 5 from 7-9:30 p.m. at the Ocean Pines Community Center.

Aerobics & Zumba

Two different classes, two different ways to have fun and get fit! Aerobics is offered Tuesdays from 8:30-9:15 a.m., Jan. 7-Feb. 25. Zumba is offered Mondays and Wednesdays from 4:30-5:15 p.m., Jan. 6-March 2. Sign up for the entire session or drop in!

Intro to Photography Class

Learn photography basics with professional photographer Jay Perskie. The class begins Feb. 27 from 7-8 p.m. at the Community Center. Just $15 for the 8-week course!

Practical Self-Defense @ Ocean Pines Community Center

This 10-week class is designed to teach practical and effective self-defense techniques that can be used in real-world situations. It is taught in a friendly and non-competitive environment. Benefits include improved balance, flexibility, strength, mental focus, body awareness and self-confidence. Using the path of least resistance and proper leverage, students will improve their ability to defend themselves. Students will practice techniques that include proper body stance and relaxation, breathing, joint locks, strikes, and breaking-away motions. Advanced training is available once the basics of self-defense have been learned. The class is designed for adult men and women who are in good health. Class space is limited- call to register.

This program is geared toward people with arthritis (or other joint issues) to provide greater flexibility and strength in the joints & to increase balance to reduce falls. Tai Chi, also called “Moving Meditation,” can also reduce depression and anxiety, improve sleep and reduce or eliminate chronic pain issues. The practices are upright, slow & continuous movements. Anyone can practice Tai Chi because movements can be adjusted to the individual.

Youth Drop-In Basketball @ Ocean Pines Community Center

For boys and girls ages 16 and under. Grab your friends and head to the gym for some indoor court time! Basketballs are available for use. Please wear non-marking athletic shoes on the court (no black-soled shoes).

Happy Cleats Indoor Soccer Clinic Age 2 @ Ocean Pines Community Center

Happy Cleats Soccer will allow children the chance to burn off some energy in a non-competitive environment.  Socialization, simple soccer fundamentals and fun will be the main focus. Parents are asked to assist during practice.
