Celebrate National Farmers Market Week at the Ocean Pines Farmers & Artisans Market. This festive market day, on Aug. 4., will include the Pine’eer Crafts and Artisans Festival. Hundreds of merchants will be gathered for a wonderful shopping experience. Live music, food and much more will be found in White Horse Park.
Among the locals, a smile comes to faces when the Ocean Pines Farmers & Artisans Market is mentioned. It’s a favorite spot to buy the freshest locally grown fruit and vegetables, pick up a homemade pie or bakery treat, shop from the Artisans and Crafters or visit with the farm animals. It is truly a place for the whole family.
Miss Delmarva 2018, Hannah Dukes, will visit the marketplace this Saturday. Hannah will greet shoppers and sign autographs.
A Sawmill-on-Wheels is coming to the Ocean Pines Marketplace this Saturday, Aug. 4. Watch as the large saw blade turns fallen trees into useful lumber. While it is true that as soon as local artisan Greg “Chappy” Myers set’s the edge of a blade against the end of a log, people begin to notice his amazing crafted wood art. Greg is bringing his Chaps Maketory to the marketplace as a weekly artisan merchant. Visit this unique market shop to see Greg’s live edge furniture and the special appearance of the Sawmill-on-Wheels.
Marketplace Open-Air Kitchen Aug. 4
Chef Maggie Haren has got two great dishes on her menu for this Saturday. As the Worcester County community celebrates Berlin’s history of peach orchards this weekend, Maggie is inspired to create a dish with the local peaches from our Green Market.
The delicious fun begins at 10 a.m., free recipe copies are available in the Open-Air Kitchen or online at www.oceanpines.org.
Live on the Market Stage Aug. 4
Sarah Campbell returns to the Market Stage this Saturday with her county and bluegrass music. Regarded as one of the area’s best solo guitar and voice artisan, we’re always glad to have her music filling the marketplace.
