This Week at the Ocean Pines Farmers & Artisans Market: Nov. 2

Open Year Round

The Ocean Pines Farmers & Artisans Market will continue to open for business every Saturday year-round as it enters its ninth year of operation in 2020.

The merchants will remain at the White Horse Marketplace location throughout the winter, with market hours changing to 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., from Jan. 4 – Feb. 29. Information about the market’s operation during inclement weather will be announced via Facebook, Instagram and Twitter social media and on the Ocean Pines website.

Special Orders for Thanksgiving

With Thanksgiving just a few weeks away, now is the time to place your special orders for the holiday. Shoppers can order everything from baked goods to custom seasonal décor for the home.

Ask your marketplace merchants this Saturday what’s being offered for the Thanksgiving holiday. A special Tuesday market has been added to the schedule for Nov. 26, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., for shoppers to pick up last-minute items.

Layout Changes to Marketplace

Beginning this Saturday, the Market is making some layout changes to better accommodate its merchant line up. Look for these merchants in new locations beginning Nov. 2:

  • Great Expectations Farm will now be located next to Four Acre Living, home of the alpacas.
  • R-DAD Seafood has relocated next to marketplace greengrocer D. J. David & Company.
  • Stag Run Farm will be located next to Toute De Suite Patisserie.
  • The Pampered Chef Shop will be located next to Stag Run Farm, just across from Alaska Wild Seafood.

Additional layout changes will take place during the next few months. Watch here for more information about where your favorite merchants have moved at the marketplace.

Thanksgiving Comes to Market Open-Air Kitchen

The market will feature two Thanksgiving holiday cooking demonstrations on Saturday, Nov. 23:

  • Turkey Carving 101 – 10 a.m. with Chef Bill Curtis
    Carving the Thanksgiving bird can be one of the most intimidating parts of the holiday meal, but Chef Bill promises it’s not all that hard. Join him as he takes you step-by-step with carving up a beautiful show-stopping Thanksgiving turkey.
  • Stuffing your Squash – 11 a.m. with Chef Maggie Hearn
    Perfectly roasted acorn squash stuffed with fragrant autumn ingredients from the market makes a delicious side dish for the holiday. Chef Maggie shares her seasonal recipe that will have you receiving rave reviews from family and guests.
