This Week at the Ocean Pines Farmers & Artisans Market: June 30

The Ocean Pines Farmers & Artisans Market has an all-American lineup of activities this week! Stop by White Horse Park for fresh seasonal produce, unique handcrafted items, cooking demos and more. The market is open Saturdays year-round from 8 am-1 pm and Wednesdays April-September from 3-7 pm.

Market Events

Red, White and Blue-Berries Day – As summer begins to heat up, we’ve set our sights on those jewel-toned strawberries, raspberries, blackberries and blueberries. The most flavorful berries come from our local farms during the peak growing seasons, where crops are harvested and delivered to you at the marketplace.

Goat Yoga – Certified yoga instructor Heidi Bodenheimer will be offering the first goat yoga session at the market  from 10-11 am. The session costs $30 per person. Those interested are encouraged to register with Goatopia by calling 443-880-5338.

Cooking Demo – Chef Maggie Haren will be preparing Veggie and Chicken Kabobs at the Marketplace Open-Air Kitchen from 10am-12pm. Click here to view the recipe.

A curated and unique line of merchandise that the owners find to be cool! Funky Finds features home decor and gift items that speak to the heart.

Batter Bowls (Green Market)
It’s berry season, and Batter Bowls is at the marketplace with their pre-measured Batter Bowls. Each bowl is handmade and assembled by Linda Roth with a recipe that she developed over time in her Delmarva home kitchen. The Batter Bowls are made with the best quality ingredients for a delicious homemade result. You simply add the fresh berries purchased at the market and follow the directions to prepare.

New Products

Le Marche Gift and Gourmet
Try Pineapple Jalapeno Margarita Mix, made in small batches with all-natural ingredients.

Bite Me Bake Shoppe
“Crack” is the new crazy found at Bite Me Bake Shoppe. Skip and Shelley have created a delicious treat made from puffed corn (not to be confused with popcorn) that is coated in a silky caramel sauce then baked for a long time to reach that sweet and crunchy finish. One bite and you’ll know why they’ve named it “crack”!
