The relief efforts in Ocean Pines is proof this community will pull together to help others. Our Public Works have been working hard keeping the donations picked up, organized, boxed, labeled, and ready to be loaded in the Truck! Worcester CountyVeterans Memorial Foundation will honor all veterans at the 9th Annual Veterans Day Ceremony All veterans will be honored but there will be a special recognition of those who served during the Desert Shield/Desert Storm Era (1990 – 1991) If inclement weather, the ceremony will be moved to the Ocean Pines Community Center.

2012 Leaf Collection Program Information
It’s that time of the year again! The Ocean Pines leaf program will begin in November. All bagged leaves that you set out will be picked up from November 26th through December 21st. The Ocean Pines Public Works will pick up leaves in bags from residences on the opposite days of Waste Management trash pick-up. Public Works will be picking up bagged leaves on the north side of Ocean Pines on Tuesdays and Fridays and they will pick up bagged leaves on the south side on Mondays and Thursdays. Waste Management customers can also have up to four bags collected for each pick up day. Paper leaf bags are for sale at the Ocean Pines Public Works or Administration office for $1.00.
The leaf vacuum program will begin on Monday, November 26st until completion which is usually in mid- January.
