The Ocean Pines Recreation and Parks Department is seeking volunteers for its annual Halloween/fall festival to be held on Saturday, Oct. 26 from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. in White Horse Park.
Volunteers are needed from 10:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. to run the event’s carnival games. Students who need to complete service hours to fulfill school or other organization requirements are especially encouraged to participate.
In addition to games, the event also includes arts and crafts, moon bounces, a haunted hayride and pony rides. The Kiwanis will be selling hot dogs, chips and drinks.
Costume contests will be held at 11:30 a.m. for ages 2 and under, noon for ages 3-4, 12:30 p.m. for ages 5-7 and 1 p.m. for ages 8-10.
Donations of individually wrapped pieces of candy to be given out at the celebration are also being accepted. Items may be dropped off at the Ocean Pines Community Center at 235 Ocean Parkway by Oct. 25.
