Highlights from Sept. 9 OPA Board meeting

(Sept. 9, 2020) Video for the Sept. 9 regular Ocean Pines Association Board meeting is now available online.     

The meeting was held in the Assateague Room of the Ocean Pines Community Center.  

During the meeting, General Manager John Viola and Director of Amenities and Operational Logistics Colby Phillips supplied a presentation on the Bainbridge Pond drainage project. Viola also gave his monthly GM report, followed by a treasurer’s report by Doug Parks. 

Board members voted unanimously to adopt revisions to Resolution C-01, on advisory and other committees, and also voted unanimously to suspend the Clubs Committee, which was deemed unnecessary at present because of the food and beverage management by the Matt Ortt Companies. 

Additionally, Board members held a discussion on succession planning, and then voted 4-3 to adjourn to closed session “for the purpose of discussing matters related to board policy and the relevance to actions of board members as permitted by the MD Homeowner's Association Act, Section 11 B-11 l (4) (ii) and (vii).”
