This Week in the Pines: October 21

The Public Works yard will be open on Wednesdays only from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Effective immediately, Worcester County Fire Marshal Matt Owens issued a burn ban, and ALL outdoor burning is banned for an indefinite period of time in Worcester County.

The Water and Wastewater Division of Public Works will begin its semi-annual program for flushing waterlines in the Ocean Pines Service Area between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 4 p.m.

Classes teach children water safety and provide activities when school is out

Friends of William Lawrence “Sarge” Garlitz will host a brick dedication ceremony at the Worcester County Veterans Memorial in Ocean Pines on Friday, Nov. 1, at 11 a.m.

The latest episode of the Ocean Pines Association’s exclusive podcast, “PinesCast,” features an exclusive interview with Public Works Deputy Director Nobie Violante.

The Ocean Pines Marina will extend its hours for boat owners on Nov. 1-3, Nov. 8-10, and Nov. 15-17, operating from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Meeting materials for the Oct. 9 special OPA Board meeting are now available online.

The Ocean Pines Association will host a town hall meeting with Republic Services on Friday, Oct. 18 at 10 a.m. in the Clubhouse Meeting Room.
