Ocean Pines gearing up for Summer 2026 events and activities

(May 20, 2026) Summer is almost here, and Ocean Pines amenities and departments are gearing up for a season packed with family activities, entertainment, and community events.
On Saturday, May 23, all outdoor pools in Ocean Pines will open for the season. General hours for each pool are 10 a.m. – 6 p.m., seven days a week, with some extended hours on weekends. Pool hours can be found by visiting

Ocean Pines Aquatics will host a Princess Party at the Sports Core Pool on Saturday, June 13, from 1-3 p.m. Come dressed in your favorite princess dress/costume and enjoy an afternoon with the Disney Princes & Princesses. This is a non-swim event. Registration is $13 for swim members, $16 for residents, and $20 for non-residents. There is no charge for parents/guardians. Call the Sports Core Pool at

Come swim like a mermaid and practice splashing your tail at the Mermaid Swim on Saturday, June 20, from 2-4 p.m. at the Sports Core Pool. Participants must be experienced swimmers age 10 and older who are able to swim in the 12 foot area of the pool. The cost for the event is $25 for swim members, $30 for residents, and $35 for non-residents.
The Ocean Pines Recreation & Parks Department is hosting a Farmers Market Tour of Lancaster on Saturday, June 20. This bus trip will make stops at three of the best markets in the county. The bus departs the Community Center at 6 a.m., with approximate time in Lancaster from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. The cost is $70 per person and includes transportation. To register, call

Teach a Kid to Fish Day, sponsored by the Ocean Pines Anglers Club, returns on Saturday, June 20, from 9-10:30 a.m. at the South Gate Pond (near Sports Core Pool). The event is free to participate and will feature a drawing for a free rod and reel. For more information, contact Frank Tortela at

Ocean Pines Recreation and Parks will host Family Fun Nights on Wednesdays, 6-8 p.m., from June 24 through August 19 at the Yacht Club Pool. Enjoy music, games, and prizes, with food available for purchase at the new Tiki Kitchen. Admission is $5 per person and is only required for those swimming.
Concerts in the Park return to White Horse Park on Thursdays from June 25 through August 27, 7-9 p.m. Food will be available for sale, and BYOB is permitted. This is a free event.
The July 4th Freedom 5K will be held at Veterans Memorial Park on Saturday, July 4, beginning at 8 a.m. Awards will be given for top three places in each age division, as well as for the Best Patriotic Outfit. Registration is $30 per runner in advance, increasing to $35 the morning of the race. T-shirts are included for all pre-registered participants; sizes are not guaranteed for registrants on the day of the event.
Later that day, Ocean Pines Recreation and Parks will host the July 4th Carnival & Fireworks from 4-9 p.m. at the Worcester County Veterans Memorial Park. Come out for an afternoon of fun, including bounce houses, food trucks, music, games, and more. Fireworks will round out the night beginning at approximately 9:15 p.m. The event is open to the public, and unlimited carnival wristbands are $20 each.
The 30th annual Art Hansen Memorial Youth Fishing Contest will take place on Saturday, July 18, at the South Gate Pond near Sports Core Pool. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m., with the contest from 9-10:30 a.m. Registration is free, and trophies and prizes will be given to the top three participants in each age group. Ocean Pines Aquatics is hosting the Summer Seas Family Splash on Saturday, July 18 from 5-8 p.m. at the Swim & Racquet Club Pool. Enjoy a fun and relaxing night in a tropical-themed Caribbean atmosphere, featuring music by a D.J and activities throughout the night. Some food will be available for purchase. Admission is $9 for swim members, $11 for residents, and $13 for non-residents.
The Ocean Pines Police Department will host National Night Out on Tuesday, August 4, from 6-8 p.m. at White Horse Park. The event is open to the public and features free food, family fun, and games provided by the Ocean Pines Recreation and Parks Department.
The Pine’eer Craft Club will present its 48th annual August Craft Festival on Saturday, August 1, from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. This indoor/outdoor festival takes place at White Horse Park and the Ocean Pines Community Center and will feature handcrafted items such as prints, jewelry, doll clothes, pottery, stitchery, crochet, knitting, and much more.
The annual Doggie Swim at Mumford’s Landing Pool will be held on Saturday, September 12, with a rain date of September 19. Dogs under 20 pounds can swim from 10-10:30 a.m., with the swim opening to all dogs from 10:30 a.m. – 2 p.m. The cost is $8 per dog, with proceeds benefitting the Worcester County Humane Society.
Also on Saturday, September 12 is the Fall Flea Market at White Horse Park and the Ocean Pines Community Center from 8 a.m. – 12 p.m. This event is held rain or shine and welcomes vendors selling gently used clothing, household items, collectibles, and more.
