Building Bridges to Better Health and Wellness: a virtual conference for a stronger commun

The following is a release from the Worcester County Health Department:



Snow Hill, MD– You are invited to the Worcester County Health Department's 12th Annual Public Health Conference from 8:30 am to 12 pm on Wednesday, April 7, 2021. This year the conference is going virtual and all residents of Worcester are invited to attend through Zoom.

The 2021 conference includes the following presentations:

● COVID-19 and Communities of Color: Join James McGinnis, Atlantic General Hospital's Director of Pharmacy for a presentation on the history of vaccines in communities of color, and learn everything you need to know about vaccines.

● Effects of Loneliness: Join Eric Gray, Worcester County Health Department's Director of Behavioral Health as he speaks about the effects of loneliness and isolation brought on by the pandemic.

● Coping Skills: Join Mimi Dean, Worcester County Health Department's Director of Prevention Services and Prevention staff as they lead you through everyday coping activities for improved health and wellness.

The pandemic has brought new challenges to our community. We invite you to come together in celebration of Public Health Week, to discuss how far we've come and how we can continue to move forward together.
